Acquire and download Microsoft Windows from $ 79!
Discount Microsoft Windows seven Expert Full: I have Vista appropriate now, on a Dell Studio 1535 Laptop. Intel Core two Duo Processor at 2.00 GHz and four. GB of RAM.
I would really like to get a Mac, but as I am not budgeted for an totally new laptop or computer (simply because I do not believe you can run the Mac OS on something but an Apple pc) I will have to pass on the Mac.
I am operating Vista right now, and I honestly never know what many of the “issues” linked with Vista even are…other than the reality that my CD drive will not load CDs (but I think that is a computer factor, not the OS).
I am a complete time student and can get the Skilled edition (which is the only edition available at the Microsoft Student Discount web site) for about $ 70, ought to I acquire this?
Also, I study on some of the other threads regarding Windows 7 that if you appear difficult adequate you could download it for cost-free–What’s that all about? Where would 1 go to download it?
I do not know anything about Linux, would this be a greater choice? I run Photoshop CS4 and Microsoft Office 2007, do individuals perform on Linux (if they do not, then Linux is not an option)?
Also, My budget is much less than $ 100, so if the Linux OS is much more than that, I can’t afford it appropriate now.

As the saying goes “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. I would hold off on upgrading to Windows & until they have more time to get the bugs out. Would hate it if you upgraded only to have problems with Windows 7 especially when you aren’t having any problems now.
Yes, you should upgrade to Windows 7. There is no doubt about that.
Anyone who doesn’t know all the specifics about MacOS or Linux should not be considering them at all.
Like you, I never experienced the issues that others did with Vista. It seemed ok to me at the time. But when I upgraded to Windows 7, there was a whole new experience opened up to me. It was faster, much much faster, and much better looking. It performs well on even older computers in my opinion.
Linux isn’t a choice for you. None of the Adobe products will run in Linux. And if you don’t know enough about linux to know that it’s a Free, open source OS, you should steer clear of it.
As for downloading it. That is called software piracy. It’s the act of obtaining software that you would normally pay for, by downloading it from others who have copied it. It’s illegal and could cause you to end up in jail. Since you don’t know much about computers in general, it would be best to stay far away from piracy since you don’t know how to protect yourself. (From viruses, scams, and of course, the police).
So yes, buy Windows 7 from your student discount shop and use that. But just remember, once you install it on that machine, it is only for that machine and you won’t be able to use it on another machine without a lot of hassle. So if you sell that computer, you sell Windows 7 and its discs with it.
