Purchase and download Microsoft Office from $ 59!
Microsoft Workplace 2008 For Mac Discounts: I got my MacBook Pro yesterday. I’ve been using Computer because I was 12, but now I require the Mac for graphic style in school.
I am really at ease with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. I’ve often utilised them. And I know several Mac users discover Microsoft Office clunky, cluttered, slow and inelegant, but at least I know how to use them. I’ve never ever seen iWork just before.
Ought to I buy iWork, or Microsoft Office for Mac? I’ve heard Workplace for Mac 2008 is terrible, so I’d hold out for the 2011 version released this October. The two suites would be close to the identical value for me, because I’d get a student discount on Office.
Thanks!

Office for Mac. 2008 is not that lousy with all the updates installed. Surely far better than iWork if you want OOXML file format compatibility.

I was organizing on purchasing Word when I got a MacBook Pro but I got iWork and it is quite comparable to Word and I adapted to it appropriate away. It really is not as fancy as Word but it nevertheless has a ton of cool fonts and it is a lot less expensive, like only $ 40. And the package comes with all these formats to do resumes, invitations, letters, flyers, etc.
But if you are going into graphic style, then I would suggest acquiring Microsoft Workplace.

If the cost is equal, I’d get the Microsoft Item. There is a lot more to the Microsoft item than the Apple item. Compatibility with your peers is going to be crucial. Files with graphs, charts, SmartArt and so forth do not play well when going from 1 application to another.
