Microsoft Windows 7 Greatest Cheap: I can get windows Vista Greatest Edition (Upgrade) for less expensive than the new Windows 7 Residence Premium edition (Pre-order). I know windows 7 will have flashy new characteristics and this kind of but most of them just seem quite pointless to me. Everything is “increased” but there’s nothing that is especially new. I am at present running a rather simple Acer Computer with these specs:

-ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 Graphics Card
-AMD Mobile Sempron 2GHz CPU
-1GB DDR2 RAM
-Microsoft Windows Vista Home Fundamental (Which is crap)
-Model no: Acer Aspire 3105WLMi (3100)
-80GB HDD
It’s getting fairly slow now so I was pondering I could max out the RAM and so forth. and upgrade to Vista Ultimate. Will it function? Is it a great idea?

If you get new ram, and max it out ti should be a great upgrade. Windows 7 performs far better than vista, and even XP. So it really should run much more smooth on your computer, specifically with far more RAM.

I’d really wait for Windows 7 if it have been me apart from staying crappy Vista has so numerous security problems its ridiculous. In Windows 7 these need to be fixed, and Vista will take at leas 1GB of RAM to run effectively so get more for either way you go.
