Microsoft Windows For Sale: I have been running Linux for two months and I like it a lot greater then my Windows XP. My laptop or computer doesn’t freeze or crash any longer. I don’t have to be concerned to a lot about viruses or spyware on my personal computer. I would consider that Microsoft Would be hurting in sales if linux was able to run all Pc applications that windows run.

If linux did commence outselling windows it would get a lot far more security troubles genuine swift because there would be more incentive to check out to hack it.

But, no i don’t think it would have a significant influence on windows sales. Windows functions fantastic and its what most folks know. Linux would need a fantastic marketing campaign to beat windows, not just a excellent product.

There is a lot of misinformation both methods on Linux. It’s pretty effortless these days, great, safe, stable, lots of totally free computer software and so on, but there is a great deal of fanboy hype.

It *can* be Much less safe than Windows depending on how you set it up. There have been wonderful enhancements in ease of installation, but it can nonetheless be rather difficult.

Administering it centrally can be challenging, which keeps it out of some corporations.

I constantly search at it this way, it is wonderful for standard pc use, and fantastic for programmers and engineers, but would you genuinely want to have to help it when Betty Lou the receptionist is attempting to use it.

Wine and Wine Doors can run most Windows programs, and several “Windows” programs come in Linux versions (or there are much better Linux programs to do the exact same task).

Microsoft will not have to worry about marketplace share for one more 25 years or so, unless of course they make a few a lot more mistakes like Vista and XP SP3.
