I have currently made the decision to get a Macbook. I may be a tiny brief for funds so i am just going by means of the configurations I initially picked to see if I can cut off possibly 50 dollars or so. I planned to get 4gb of memory. Even so my dad, who is a Pc user so i do not know if this is accurate for macs as nicely, said apple generally overcharges for added ram and to upgrade it myself. That would cut 90 dollars off (i have the education discount) and that would be very good. Is 2gb good adequate? I do not do any video editing, and I don’t like video chat either so that does not take up as significantly of the difficult drive. I do image editing but its quite light… basically i just use picnik.com which is Actually slow on my pc now (I have a compaq from 2003 but my dad upgraded the OS to windows xp in 2006 i consider). So.. other than that I will use it to write essays, internet browsing, I will download AIM and use iTunes.. i will most likely take photos with the photobooth as properly. Is 2gb adequate for that? Also… very first I had planned to get Microsoft office but I utilized a Macbook with iWork and it worked just fine.. had a great deal of great items on it, wasn’t very standard at all like the live chat people told me. However, in cutting much more funds off I was pondering of just employing the program that comes free, “text edit.” but , i have not attempted that out and have NO notion what it really is.. if its just windows pc’s “notepad” with a distinct name, then i will have to acquire iWork. I consider 2 gb of memory will do what you want for now. You can constantly get some much more if you do not feel like its running quick adequate. So I say start with 2 gb memory.
Text edit is considerably like notepad, so I will suggest you don’t use that. Try Open Workplace rather. Its a totally free and legal office suit that works just as good as Microsoft Office and iWork. So you could conserve a lot on that.
