Microsoft Windows Vista 64 Sale: I have Vista Ultimate 64mb and truly don’t feel like shelling out $ 219 for an upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate 64. The only dilemma is that if I get Windows 7 House Premium Upgrade as an alternative, the Microsoft web site says I will have to do a clean set up and will be forced to re-set up all of my software package.

The web site says that the only possibility I have of executing an in-place upgrade is to go to Windows 7 Ultimate. Is this a sales job or will it really not enable me to execute an in location upgrade on 7 Property Premium?

You cannot upgrade to a distinct version of Microsoft Windows, sorry. You cannot upgrade from a 32-bit version to a 64-bit version and the other way around for instance and you can not upgrade from a Ultimate to a Residence Premium version and the other way about.

You’ll have to reinstall almost everything on your tough drive, there is no inplace install from Ultimate to Property Premium. I am certain you will have to do a clean set up.

What ever Microsoft says, they say so totally right. They had created the window 7 and so management its performance.
