Microsoft Windows XP New For Sale: I bought this pc at a yard sale. it performs and all but the windows hasn’t been activated. It keeps asking me for a product important. I went back to where i bought it and he gave me to essential codes and neither a single worked. I called Microsoft and they told me that the windows disk set up on right here has done been utilized also many instances. Don’t worry. After the four days you can still use windows, you just won’t be able to access things such as windows updates and so on.
You can use a windows activation key as many times as you like, however you can only enter it a certain number of times to activate online, and after that you must activate via telephone. There should be an option on your PC for phone activation.
If they don’t accept the code, then there may be something wrong with the code given to you by the person you bought it from, in which case contact them and ask them to sort out the problem.
mostly what the people above said but you wouldn’t need to reinstall the operating system just buy a new key and use that to activate, besides windows xp isn’t very expensive but I wouldn’t recommend buying a new version of xp because microsoft is going to stop supporting in a few months I think, and don’t get vista it sucks and is buggy, if you’re going to get the os go with windows 7.
