If you require an workplace suite NOW, you can use Openoffice.org, which is a cost-free option to MS Workplace. Not as good, but it works.

If you’re a student, you can possibly get educational discounts online. Search around here: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-eight&q=student+software+discounts

Feel free to try any of these sites as most of them offer huge discounts for students
and yes MS Office 2007 is indeed available.

Dont forget ebay as it offers significant discounted price

If you have shortage of funds then you could probably try online office apps like google docs or zoho.com or http://www.thinkfree.com and http://www.ajax13.com/. According to
PC World the best online office site is ajax 13.

    Hope that helps.

Since you are a student, buy it from a store with students discount (software4students is one cheap one, which has been mentioned by someone else already). To be able to use it for now, uninstall your copy of Office and use CCleaner to cleary registery settings – and install again to be able to use for now. Later, you can buy and activate it.

2007 was discontinued and replaced by 2010.

The best price for students is $ 79.99 (US) directly from Microsoft here:

OpenOffice is a lousy substitute. You need the genuine thing if you’re a student.
